Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your Role:

  • Deliver scalable, reliable applications that meet business and client objectives from concept through to production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective and user-focused solutions
  • Build and maintain high-quality, sustainable code that supports long-term value and reuse
  • Own delivery across the full development lifecycle, ensuring quality and timely outcomes
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance performance, resilience, and user experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure stability and continuity in production environments
  • Promote best practices in design, quality, and security to enable robust and future-ready solutions
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and team capability building
  • Demonstrate adaptability and ongoing learning, including awareness of emerging engineering practices and AI-enabled delivery approaches

 

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above preferred)
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with RESTful services and API development
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Understanding of version control systems such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

 

Good to have Skills:

 

  • Exposure to microservices or distributed system design
  • Familiarity with cloud-based development environments
  • Awareness of DevOps practices and continuous delivery approaches
  • Understanding of application performance tuning and secure coding principles
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
  • Interest in AI-assisted development and emerging engineering trends
