Cloud Data Engineer

About the Job you are considering:

As the Sr Cloud Data Platform Engineer you will be key member in a cross functional team developing products APIs and pipelines for enabling a modern and well equipped Data Engineering landscape for our customers where security governance and controls are at the forefront for rapid data product development. You will be responsible for the development of distributed systems infrastructure and APIs Pipelines to ensure that our data engineering platforms are performant scalable and robust.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Design and implement infrastructure to support data engineering roadmaps
  • Develop and deploy enterpriseready products and APIs
  • Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  • Support the Lead Engineer in engaging with Senior Stakeholders in Data
  • Engineering use case and customer groups The role will require collaboration with architects and engineers of all levels in multiple teams across the bank as well as security and infrastructure teams
    Decision making and Problem Solving
  • This is a hands on technical role and requires adaptable thinking and a commitment to stay up to date with the latest technology and provide solutions that work at enterprise scale
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you do
  • An experienced Cloud Data Engineer with a passion for developing data platforms products You are a collaborative team player who likes to get hands on in the development of technical products As a dedicated professional you will stay up to date with the latest technologies to help your team make the best technical decisions

  • Airflow Dag creation operators connections deployment on Kubernetes Astronomer DBT
  • Build and maintain data models using dbt
  • Write complex SQL transformations to clean and structure data
  • Develop modular reusable data pipelines
  • Implement data testing and validation eg schema tests data quality checks
  • Manage data documentation and lineage within DBT
