Acting as a trusted, AI-aware advisor, you will connect business and technology to build resilient, future-ready platforms, drive measurable outcomes, and empower teams to continuously grow and innovate across complex financial environments.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Design and deliver end-to-end cloud architectures that meet business, regulatory, and operational outcomes within lending and core banking
- Lead transformation initiatives that modernise platforms and improve scalability, resilience, and customer experience
- Establish and embed best practices for security, governance, and cost efficiency across financial workloads
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality delivery outcomes
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements, reinforcing trust and safeguarding critical systems
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex business needs into clear, future-ready architecture decisions
- Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments to optimise performance in high-volume transactional environments
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Engage stakeholders to align architecture with strategic goals and deliver measurable business value
- Contribute to building AI-aware, future-ready capabilities within teams and client environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, API Gateway, and CloudFormation
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale solution architectures within financial services environments
- Strong understanding of lending and core banking domains, including credit risk, loan processing, and payments
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including security, scalability, resilience, and governance
- Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
- Experience leading large-scale transformation and cloud migration programmes
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to mentor and guide teams while driving best practices
- Awareness of AI-enabled capabilities and their value in shaping future-ready solutions
Good-to-Have Skills
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional)
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
- Exposure to lending, mortgages, retail banking, or credit platforms
- Knowledge of data platforms, risk analytics, and AI/ML use cases (e.g., credit scoring, fraud detection)
