SAP Solution Architect (Domain, SME)

Your role

As an SAP Solution Architect, you will take a key role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within one of our strategic domains: Retail, Energy, Manufacturing, Automotive, Public Sector, or Pharma. You will shape domain‑specific SAP architectures, guide clients through their digital transformation journeys, and ensure that solutions fully align with industry standards and best practices. 

In this position, you will act as a trusted advisor, leading solution design end‑to‑end, defining roadmaps, and driving architectural decisions across large, international projects. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, influence pre‑sales activities, and contribute to building our domain‑focused expertise within the organization. 

Your project

Join the GDC (Global Delivery Center) and become a part of the PBS (Package Based Services) department, a team of over 300 SAP specialists. We combine deep technological expertise with strategic business consulting, delivering innovative solutions to global enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies. Working across diverse industries, we support our clients in achieving their business transformation goals. 

Your tasks

  • Design and implement SAP solutions tailored to one of the following domains: Retail, Energy, Manufacturing, Automotive, Public Sector, Pharma 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on SAP solutions and driving digital transformation initiatives 
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate SAP solutions with existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality across the enterprise 
  • Support pre‑sales activities, including preparing proposals, creating presentations, and contributing to solution demonstrations for prospective clients 
  • Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and create solution roadmaps, delivering high‑quality documentation and presentations to stakeholders 
  • Provide thought leadership by staying updated on industry trends and innovations in SAP for the selected domain 
  • Mentor and guide project teams, ensuring adherence to architecture principles and successful project delivery 

Your profile

  • Extensive experience as an SAP Solution Architect or in a similar role, with a strong focus on one of the mentioned domains: Retail, Energy, Manufacturing, Automotive, Public Sector, Pharma 
  • Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive SAP solutions in the selected domain, leveraging industry best practices 
  • Deep understanding of domain‑specific processes and integration of SAP S/4HANA with other SAP and non‑SAP systems 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value 
  • SAP certifications in relevant areas and prior experience in international or multi‑vendor environments are highly desirable 
  • Fluency in English or German (German language skills are considered a highly valuable asset)
