YOUR TASKS
- Working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases hosted on-prem, Oracle Cloud (OCI), or AWS RDS instances.
- Database monitoring and health checks
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and suggest improvements.
- Query performance: analyzing and optimizing slow-running, checking performance indicators.
- Update Oracle database configuration and releases support of the application.
- Participate in "Root Cause" analysis for application/database related issues.
- Provisioning and decommissioning databases on on-prem, OCI and AWS.
- Database migrations from on-prem to cloud environment.
- Deployment in the Test and Production environment under the control of change management.
- Identifying and communicating database new features to improve the service.
- Capacity planning in terms of resources for processing, network and storage.
- Support requests from developers and business users to write efficient queries.
- Understanding business needs to estimate databases compute, storage and network resources and reconfigure them appropriately
- User management, connectivity issues, etc
- Participate in oncall shifts.
YOUR PROFILE
- Min 5 years’ experience in Oracle database administration, AWS or Oracle Cloud hands on
- Good understanding of oracle database architecture, RAC cluster, Exadata, performance tuning aspects for databases.
- New database features for latest database releases.
- Understanding of ITIL and Agile processes.
- Understanding of Terraform, and Gitlab CI/CD pipeline.
