Enterprise Architect APM Lead - Application Portfolio Management Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Chief Architect to spearhead our Enterprise Architecture Application Portfolio Management function within Group IT. This executive leadership role is pivotal in shaping the architectural strategy that underpins our global IT transformation. You will be responsible for defining and operationalizing a forward-looking architectural vision that aligns with business objectives, drives innovation, and ensures technical excellence across the enterprise.
Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will lead a high-performing team of senior enterprise architects and business analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and strategic impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and champion enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks across the organization.
- Lead the strategic development and execution of the Application Portfolio Management roadmap.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and tools to support business innovation and agility.
- Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership across major programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate architectural reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise-wide objectives.
- Mentor and guide engineering and architecture teams, fostering technical excellence and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into technology capabilities and architectural blueprints.
Your profile
- Advanced degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven success in leading large-scale, complex, and cross-functional transformation programs.
- Capgemini Level 3 Certified Architect or equivalent industry certification.
- Deep expertise in architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, IAF, or Zachman.
- Strong command of Application Portfolio Management (APM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) methodologies.
- Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation, and workshop facilitation.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Beneficial experience
- Domain expertise in Finance, HR, and Procurement within complex, global enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with architecture repository tools such as LeanIX.
- Familiarity with Business Architecture and ArchiMate modeling, including capability mapping and application landscape design.
- Demonstrated ability to stay ahead of industry trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
