YOUR ROLE
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support engineering packages of low to medium complexity within refinery, petrochemical, and energy projects. This role is focused on providing solid technical input, reviewing engineering documentation, performing basic calculations, and coordinating closely with internal engineering teams and external contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and practical design solutions.
You can expect to work with a range of mechanical disciplines—static equipment, rotating equipment, and piping—contributing across different project phases. The role requires the ability to interpret engineering documentation accurately, apply international design standards, and support constructability and quality assurance activities. You will also act as a technical reference for clarifying contractor queries and supporting execution readiness.
This position is well suited to engineers who enjoy detailed technical work, multidisciplinary coordination, and contributing to the successful delivery of industrial projects in regulated environments.
What you can expect in the role:
- Support to mechanical engineering packages for projects and minor modifications
- Review and interpretation of P&IDs, piping isometrics, equipment datasheets, and vendor documentation
- Preparation and checking of technical documentation and engineering calculations within assigned scope
- Application of international design standards (ASME, API, EN, ISO) to ensure compliant solutions
- Coordination with internal engineering teams and contractors to clarify technical issues
- Participation in constructability reviews and support to execution planning
- Understanding and application of quality assurance processes, including tests and inspections
- Technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases as required
YOUR PROFILE
- Academic background in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in refinery, petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or similar industrial environments
- Technical experience supporting static equipment, rotating equipment, and piping engineering scopes
- Strong ability to interpret and review P&IDs, piping isometrics, equipment datasheets, and vendor documentation
- Familiarity with international design standards such as ASME, API, EN, and ISO
- Capability to support constructability reviews and respond to contractor technical queries during execution
- Good understanding of quality assurance processes, including required tests and inspections
- Structured, analytical, and collaborative engineer with strong technical documentation discipline
- Comfortable working in a hybrid work model (2–3 days at the office, depending on project needs)
