Post-Silicon Validation Lead
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Post-Silicon Validation Lead to drive validation activities for a complex mixed-signal automotive SoC.
In this role, you will define the validation strategy, ensure comprehensive coverage of IP integration at system level and lead a team of validation engineers through execution.
You will be responsible for aligning validation scope with project objectives, managing PVT campaigns, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and coordinating with design, verification and program stakeholders to achieve successful silicon bring-up and validation sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the post-silicon validation strategy for SoC-level IP integration
- Plan and manage validation campaigns across different PVT conditions (temperatures, voltages, corners, samples)
- Lead validation of key IPs including communication interfaces, PLLs, sensors, and control blocks
- Ensure coverage of electrical validation, data integrity and functional verification at SoC level
- Structure and assign validation activities across the team
- Establish and enforce automation strategy (Python/C#)
- Review and approve test plans, test programs and validation reports
- Ensure traceability and high-quality documentation aligned with project requirements
- Act as main interface towards design, verification, and program management teams
Required Qualifications
- BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in post-silicon validation or hardware validation
- Proven experience leading validation teams or owning validation scope
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal SoCs and interface integration
- Deep knowledge of validation methodologies, PVT coverage and characterization approaches
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment
- Experience with automation frameworks (Python or C#)
- Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
- Automotive semiconductor experience (e.g., safety-critical or high-reliability systems)
- Experience with high-speed interface validation (MIPI, Aurora, Ethernet PHYs)
- Familiarity with quality standards and structured validation processes (e.g., ISO-driven environments)
- Experience with debugging of complex silicon issues
- Experience managing multi-site or distributed validation teams
Tools and Environment
- Advanced lab setups: oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, PXI systems
- Automated validation environments and test frameworks
- Cross-functional engineering collaboration (design, verification, system teams)
