Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to support the validation of an advanced mixed-signal automotive SoC.

The role focuses on ensuring correct integration of multiple IPs within the SoC by validating electrical connectivity, data integrity, and basic functional behavior at system level.

You will work hands-on in a laboratory environment, developing automated validation solutions and executing structured validation campaigns across defined process, voltage and temperature (PVT) conditions.

This is a highly practical role requiring both measurement expertise and strong debugging skills, with close collaboration with design, verification and system teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute post-silicon validation activities for IP integration at SoC level
  •
  • Validate electrical connectivity, signal integrity, and data correctness across integrated interfaces
  •
  • Perform basic functional validation of digital and mixed-signal IPs in the system context
  •
  • Characterization of different digital interfaces
  •
  • Validate PLLs, ADC, sensors, and internal system clocks (timing, jitter, duty cycle)
  •
  • Conduct measurements for electrical compliance (voltage levels, eye diagrams, timing margins)
  •
  • Execute validation campaigns across different PVT conditions (temperatures, voltages, corners, samples)
  •
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python or C#
  •
  • Debug silicon issues using lab equipment and structured problem-solving methods
  •
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to identify and resolve integration issues
  •
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of validation activities

Required Qualifications

  • BSc / MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in post-silicon validation or hardware validation
  • Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs and measurement setups
  • Experience with test automation using Python or C#
  • Good understanding of signal integrity, timing and measurement fundamentals
  • Structured debugging and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work in cross-functional engineering environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PXI-based test systems
  • Experience in automotive semiconductor projects
  • Familiarity with PLL characterization and high-speed interfaces such as Aurora (A-PHY), MIPI (D-PHY), Ethernet, SPI, I2C, FD-CAN, UART (LinFlex), OSPI, and GPIO
  • Understanding of validation methodologies, coverage and traceability
  • Exposure to ISO or quality-driven engineering environments

Tools and Environment

  • Oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, PXI-based systems
  • Hardware validation benches and automated test setups
  • Software-based automation using Python / C#

Deliverables and Success Metrics

  • Develop and maintain structured validation test plans
  • Implement automated test programs with measurable coverage
  • Produce clear and traceable validation reports
  • Ensure execution of validation campaigns across PVT conditions
  • Maintain alignment between test plan, test execution and documented results
  • Contribute to scalable and reusable validation infrastructure
