Design Engineer

Your Role

We are seeking a Design Engineer for Electrical Distribution to participate in end-to-end process of assigned industrial project from technical and time point of view, accomplish professional engineering work in a specific WP work package and assist a WP DL (Design Leader) during a project execution. You can technically assist during a project execution and factory and on-site testing. You participate in international complex and middle-sized projects and work in international environment.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Oversee technical and scheduling aspects during the execution phase of international industrial projects in Electrical Distribution (ED)
• Ensure quality, timing, and cost compliance for studies and deliverables
• Prepare technical specifications, design notes, and reports; participate in design meetings
• Coordinate with subcontractors and support commissioning activities
• Contribute to technical innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 18000 (HSE), and ISO 14000 (Environmental) standards
• Uphold safety standards throughout project execution and work to improve customer satisfaction.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree or diploma in Electrotechnical or a related field
• Solid understanding of Electrical / Power Electrical Engineering (LV or MV), including components and systems such as transformers, switchgear, electric motors, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, switches, rectifiers, inverters, power and communication cables, and digital protection systems
• Up to 3 years of experience in a relevant area
• Flexibility and reliability, strong attention to technical detail, customer-focused mindset, team player, and goal-oriented approach
• Effective communication with customers and within project teams
• Ability to work and collaborate in an international, multicultural environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD; knowledge of power electrical systems
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the EMEAS region
• Potential for long-term assignments abroad (up to 1 year)
• Valid Category B driving licence
• Fluent English (C1); other languages are an advantage.
