We have an exciting opportunity for a Directory & Identity Manager to join us in Hong Kong.

This will be a 1 year fixed term contract.

Job Purpose

The Directory & Identity Manager will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the directory services and identity management systems in the APAC region. You will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient functioning of directory services, seamless user authentication, access control in a needed basic, and identity lifecycle management. Your expertise in directory services and identity management will contribute to the organization's overall IT infrastructure security and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Directory Services Management

  • Manage and administer directory services, such as Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), ensuring their availability, stability, and security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain directory services infrastructure, including domain controllers, replication, and security policies.
  • Configure and manage directory services integration with other systems and applications, ensuring smooth authentication and authorization processes.

Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • Develop and maintain an IAM framework, policies, and procedures to ensure secure and efficient management of user identities, access privileges, and role-based access control.
  • Implement and manage identity provisioning and deprovisioning processes, including user account creation, modification, and termination.
  • Oversee access control mechanisms, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).

Security and Compliance

  • Collaborate with the security team to define and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices related to directory services and identity management.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities, access control issues, and compliance gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data protection standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and local data privacy laws.

User Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and maintain processes and workflows for user lifecycle management, including onboarding, role changes, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure timely and accurate provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts and access privileges.
  • Monitor and manage user identity data quality, integrity, and synchronization across systems and applications.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting

  • Respond to and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests related to directory services and identity management within defined SLAs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize the occurrence of incidents and improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for incident resolution and troubleshooting, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead as a technical owner during product evaluation to determine suitability for the client
  • As part of a team, act as the technical lead for IAM related projects
  • Be able to work hand-in-hand with Project Management during all phases of projects

Requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications

MANDATORY

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

PREFERRED

  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure
  • Certifications in Identity and Access Management

Work Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a Directory & Identity Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry or regulated industry

 

Functional/Technical Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of directory services, such as Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), including design, implementation, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles, protocols, and best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and identity provisioning.
  • Familiarity with IAM tools and technologies, such as identity governance and administration (IGA) systems, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting directory services and identity management-related incidents and problems, with a focus on timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
