Your Role

Technical leadership & delivery

• Act as technical lead and quality gate within one or more delivery teams.
• Translate architectural guidelines into concrete technical designs and implementations.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, security and integrations.
• Coach and mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance and hands‑on support.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, documentation and DevOps are applied consistently.

Digital & platform engineering

Within DCX programmes, you will contribute to the delivery of large‑scale digital experience platforms.

You may be involved in:

• Building and evolving digital platforms such as customer portals, CMS‑driven websites or headless experience architectures.
• Contributing to e‑commerce and omnichannel solutions, integrating frontend, backend services and cloud platforms.
• Designing and implementing API‑first and Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Working closely with UX, product and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with customer experience goals.
• Ensuring frontend and platform performance, accessibility and maintainability at scale.

AI-enabled software delivery

We increasingly focus on industrialising AI in software development, not just experimentation.

As a Technical Lead, you may:

• Apply spec‑driven development to improve clarity, quality and delivery speed.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tooling into development, testing and documentation flows.
• Contribute to solutions that embed AI capabilities into digital platforms.
• Work with cloud‑native AI services (e.g. managed AI platforms such as Amazon Bedrock).
• Explore multi‑agent or automation patterns to support development and operational processes.

Profile

Required skills

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Developer or similar role.
• Strong software engineering background with experience in modern development stacks.
• Experience working on digital platforms, customer‑facing applications or complex enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of API‑based architectures, integrations and distributed systems.
• Affinity with cloud‑native development and modern DevOps practices.
• Interest in or experience with AI‑assisted or AI‑enabled software development.
• Natural coach and communicator, able to guide teams and challenge decisions constructively.
• Comfortable working in complex, multi‑team and client‑facing environments.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.

Nice To Have

• Experience with CMS or digital experience platforms (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager).
• Experience with e‑commerce platforms or omnichannel ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and headless architectures.
• Exposure to cloud‑native AI services or automation frameworks.
