Senior SAP Logistics Competence Lead

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior SAP Logistics Competence Lead to join our growing SAP practice in Belgium. This is a broad and senior role that sits at the intersection of delivery excellence, people leadership, and business development. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients on core supply chain processes, leading complex SAP SD and MM implementations while also playing a central role in growing and shaping our internal SAP Logistics community.

As someone operating at an architect level, you will bring deep functional expertise across SAP Logistics modules, combined with the seniority and gravitas to lead conversations at both the boardroom and the shop floor. You will be a key figure internally — driving recruitment, developing talent, and championing best practices — as well as externally, contributing to presales and client engagement activities.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Leading end-to-end SAP Logistics transformations for clients across multiple industries, acting as a solution architect or senior functional lead on complex programmes covering core supply chain processes, with a strong focus on SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP MM (Materials Management), including integration touchpoints with adjacent modules such as WM/EWM, PP, and other modules
• Driving architectural decisions and solution design, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable SAP solutions — challenging assumptions, identifying risks early, and ensuring that proposed designs align with both client strategy and SAP best practices
• Serving as a trusted client advisor and primary point of contact during presales and delivery phases, building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, contributing to RFP responses, solution proposals, and client workshops, and helping to identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
• Leading and developing the SAP Logistics competence community in Belgium — organising knowledge-sharing sessions, defining and maintaining methodology and accelerators, tracking market trends and emerging SAP innovations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP), and ensuring the community remains at the cutting edge of the field
• Managing, mentoring, and growing a team of SAP Logistics consultants, taking ownership of performance management, career development conversations, and day-to-day people leadership — acting as a coach and role model for more junior colleagues
• Playing an active role in recruitment for the SAP Logistics practice — collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition to define hiring needs, participating in interviews, assessing technical profiles, and helping to build a strong and diverse team pipeline
• Contributing to practice development and internal initiatives, including the creation of reusable assets, thought leadership content, training materials, and go-to-market propositions that strengthen Capgemini's positioning in the SAP Logistics space

Your Profile

You are a seasoned SAP Logistics professional with a strong track record in complex, large-scale SAP implementations. You combine deep technical and functional expertise with the leadership presence to inspire teams, influence clients, and shape the direction of a growing practice. You are equally comfortable presenting a solution architecture to a C-level audience as you are rolling up your sleeves to support your team during a critical project phase.

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in SAP Logistics, with deep hands-on expertise across SAP SD and SAP MM in S/4HANA environments, and a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes — from order management and procurement through to inventory and warehouse management; experience with SAP EWM, PP, or TM is a strong plus
• Proven solution architecture capability, with a demonstrable ability to design and own complex SAP Logistics solutions across full project lifecycles — from blueprinting and fit-gap analysis through to go-live and hypercare — ideally with experience working across multiple industries
• A strong business development mindset, with experience contributing to or leading presales activities including client presentations, solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal writing — comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders and able to articulate the business value of proposed solutions
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including direct line management or functional leadership of SAP consultant teams — with a genuine passion for developing talent, providing coaching and mentoring, and creating an inclusive and high-performing team culture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language, facilitate workshops with mixed audiences, and build trust at all levels of a client organisation
• Fluency in Dutch or French, with strong professional proficiency in English — the ability to work effectively in Belgium's multilingual environment is important for both client-facing and internal activities
• SAP certification in one or more relevant Logistics modules (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate or Professional in SD, MM, or S/4HANA Supply Chain) is considered a strong advantage
