Job Description
As a Senior Buyer in the nuclear energy sector, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services for critical operations. Working within a highly regulated environment, you will leverage your expertise to optimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will play a key role in:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of procurement policies and strategies
- Drafting specifications in consultation with a team of specialists (legal, technical, etc.)
- Analyzing market mechanisms and monitoring market trends and developments
- Comparing and evaluating offers and submissions from potential suppliers
- Negotiating and concluding contracts with suppliers regarding price, contractual clauses, and service quality
- Contributing to cost optimization in collaboration with internal clients and suppliers
- Managing, implementing, and monitoring contracts with relevant suppliers
- Providing commercial and contractual support for technical projects and one-time or exceptional purchases
- Executing spot buys within the framework of various projects
Your profile
- Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical field
- 10+ years of experience in Procurement
- Strong understanding of market mechanisms and procurement processes
- Knowledge of legal aspects of the procurement process is a significant advantage
- Excellent command of French and English, with Dutch being an asset (both written and oral)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with assertiveness and stress resistance
- Analytical mindset with good synthesis capabilities
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to drive favorable outcomes
- Autonomy, personal commitment, and flexibility in approach
- Team spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with SAP or willingness to learn this software environment
- Proficiency in common software applications and IT tools
