Job Description

As a Senior Buyer in the nuclear energy sector, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services for critical operations. Working within a highly regulated environment, you will leverage your expertise to optimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

 

You will play a key role in:

 

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of procurement policies and strategies
  • Drafting specifications in consultation with a team of specialists (legal, technical, etc.)
  • Analyzing market mechanisms and monitoring market trends and developments
  • Comparing and evaluating offers and submissions from potential suppliers
  • Negotiating and concluding contracts with suppliers regarding price, contractual clauses, and service quality
  • Contributing to cost optimization in collaboration with internal clients and suppliers
  • Managing, implementing, and monitoring contracts with relevant suppliers
  • Providing commercial and contractual support for technical projects and one-time or exceptional purchases
  • Executing spot buys within the framework of various projects

Your profile

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement
  • Strong understanding of market mechanisms and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of legal aspects of the procurement process is a significant advantage
  • Excellent command of French and English, with Dutch being an asset (both written and oral)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with assertiveness and stress resistance
  • Analytical mindset with good synthesis capabilities
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to drive favorable outcomes
  • Autonomy, personal commitment, and flexibility in approach
  • Team spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with SAP or willingness to learn this software environment
  • Proficiency in common software applications and IT tools
