SAP IS-U Consultant

Your Role

For several of our clients in the Flemish region of Belgium, we are looking to strengthen our IS‑U team with an experienced SAP IS‑U Consultant. In this role, you will:

 

  • Challenge and help define the implementation scope and approach.
  • Bring best practices and identify potential pitfalls based on your project experience.
  • Implement the functional solution in close collaboration with fellow IS‑U consultants and the development team.
  • Assess customer needs and translate them into a standard‑first solution approach.
  • Advise the project manager, solution architect, and functional team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coach and mentor junior consultants, providing both classroom training and on‑the‑job guidance.
  • Work full‑time on Capgemini Belgium projects, primarily on‑site at client locations across Flanders (limited remote work possible after initial integration).
  • Collaborate in Dutch as the primary working language, using English for communication with Capgemini and SAP.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in configuring and implementing SAP IS‑U processes
  • Billing & Invoicing (must‑have)
  • Metering (must‑have)
  • Dunning & Collections (nice‑to‑have)
  • CRM/C4 for Utilities (nice‑to‑have)
  • Knowledge of SAP IS‑U EDM is a plus
  • Knowledge of smart metering (AMI) is a plus
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in SAP IS‑U
  • Strong business acumen and ability to anticipate client needs
  • Analytical and conceptual thinker focused on pragmatic, fit‑for‑purpose solutions
  • Experience leading workshops and defining business solutions based on SAP standard processes
  • Innovative mindset, with a proactive and solution‑oriented attitude
  • Team-oriented with strong coaching capabilities
