Risk Assessment/Safety Coordinator | Automotive

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Risk Assessment/Safety Coordinator to support safety and operational excellence within the Zeebrugge logistics hub for our automotive sector operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying risks, analyzing potential hazards, and helping implement effective corrective actions that ensure both safety compliance and operational efficiency.

 

In this role you will play a key role in:

 

  • Conducting comprehensive on-site risk assessments across the logistics hub, using structured methodologies to identify potential safety hazards
  • Analyzing safety data and operational processes to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of safety concerns
  • Preparing clear, actionable reports that highlight risks, underlying causes, and recommended mitigation strategies
  • Supporting the development and implementation of action plans designed to eliminate or reduce identified risks
  • Monitoring incidents, near-misses, and safety reports with rigorous follow-up procedures and continuous improvement proposals

YOUR PROFILE

  • 2-5 years of experience in safety management, risk assessment, or related field within industrial or automotive environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex operational environments
  • Excellent observation skills and meticulous attention to detail when conducting on-site assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, and operational impact
  • Field-oriented mindset with commitment to spending significant time on the shop floor (Gemba approach)
  • Proactive and solution-driven attitude with the confidence to challenge established processes when necessary
