Your Role
We are looking for a talented R&D Consultant specializing in Advanced Materials Engineering to join our team supporting a leading automotive manufacturer's R&D department in Brussels. In this role, you will contribute to advanced research initiatives focusing on the development of innovative materials for future technologies.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Conducting laboratory experiments on inorganic materials with precision and scientific rigor
- Performing solid-state and wet synthesis of new materials for cutting-edge applications
- Analyzing and interpreting scientific data to drive research conclusions and recommendations
- Utilizing advanced techniques such as X-ray diffraction, electrochemistry, and other material characterization methods
- Working independently in a lab environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Contributing to research in sustainable technologies including fuel cells, CO₂ capture, hydrogen generation, photocatalysis, and photoelectrolysis
Your Profile
- Educational background in chemical engineering, materials science, or mechanical engineering
- 0-1 year of experience in a research or laboratory setting
- Strong interest in applied research and sustainable technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills and scientific curiosity
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
