Your Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Charleroi, focusing on railway engineering projects. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative mechanical engineering solutions for our railway sector clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects in the railway sector, from initial concept through to delivery and implementation
- Developing comprehensive project plans including resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management strategies
- Leading and motivating multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables
- Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translating these into technical specifications and project deliverables
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements specific to the railway sector
Your Profile
- 3-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering project management, preferably in the railway or related heavy industry sector
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components used in railway applications
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience in budget management and resource planning
- Understanding of railway industry standards and regulations, including safety certification processes
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify technical issues and implement effective solutions
- English is mandatory and French is a plus
