Mechanical Design Engineer CREO | Defense
Job Description
- Managing and coordinating engineering changes, non-conformities, technical investigations, and product improvement initiatives across launcher product families, including metallic and composite structures
- Developing and validating mechanical solutions, creating and reviewing detailed drawings and assemblies, and applying functional dimensioning, tolerance stack-up analysis, and GD&T/ISO GPS standards
- Ensuring the technical consistency and quality of engineering definition packages, validating EBOMs, and managing product data within a PLM environment (Creo and Windchill preferred)
- Acting as a key engineering interface between Design Office, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Quality, and Project teams, contributing to technical reviews and problem-solving workshops
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives based on operational feedback (RETEX/Lessons Learned) and contributing to the development of engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices
Your Profile
- You hold a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent,
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering lifecycle management in a high-technology sector such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Energy, or similar
- You have strong expertise in mechanical design, assemblies, and system interfaces, with proven experience in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ISO GPS standards, along with solid knowledge of machining, manufacturing, and integration constraints
- You are proficient with CAD and PLM tools, experience with Creo and Windchill is a strong advantage — and you are comfortable managing product data, configuration control, and engineering documentation in a structured environment
- You are a rigorous, detail-oriented, and proactive engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a real sense of ownership, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within complex, multidisciplinary engineering organisations.
- Professional proficiency in both French and English is required
