Job Description
As an Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational excellence of maintenance activities in a high-stakes industrial environment. Working closely with the Maintenance Section Manager, you will help oversee a specialized team responsible for critical valve systems and associated equipment.
You will play a key role in:
- Supporting the Section Manager in the daily management of the valve maintenance team responsible for manual valves, motorized valves, actuators, associated instrumentation, pressure reducers, check valves, steam traps, fire stations, and fire dampers
- Developing and implementing action plans within the section (maintenance planning, spare parts management, trend analysis, technical issue resolution, worksite safety improvements, process clarification)
- Supervising the preparation of maintenance work (corrective, preventive) both during and outside of unit outages, taking into account respective constraints and deadlines related to unit operations
- Contributing to continuous improvement by analyzing feedback and proposing concrete actions (rework, anomalies, incidents)
- Assisting with modification/project/decommissioning files in cooperation with other departments
- Serving as a liaison between your section and external partners
- Occasionally supporting other section managers within the service
- Promoting safety culture within the service and site
- Maintaining field presence to ensure proper work monitoring
Your Profile
- Civil or Industrial Engineering degree
- Results-oriented with strong teamwork capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for in-depth technical analysis
- Demonstrated autonomy and self-reflection abilities
- Meticulous and well-organized approach to work
- Fluency in French and English, Dutch knowledge is an advantage
