MES - Lead PAS-X Modeller | Life Sciences
Your role
As Technical Lead for a PAS-X MES Roll-out Program, you will provide end-to-end technical leadership across site-level MES implementations within a complex, multi-site pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be the go-to technical authority, ensuring architectural consistency, integration quality, and compliance with corporate standards — all while enabling the successful delivery of your client's global digital manufacturing strategy.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Leading all architectural and technical decisions within the PAS-X MES roll-out program, ensuring alignment between the global core model and local site implementations, governing configuration and integration standards, and minimising unnecessary customisations across sites.
- Overseeing end-to-end MES configuration activities, including workflows, forms, MBRs, gMBRs, and ESP, while ensuring the proper implementation of OT/IT interfaces and integration patterns with enterprise and shop-floor systems including ERP, SCADA, LIMS, and Historians.
- Leading technical activities across the full testing and deployment lifecycle, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, go-live, and technical stabilisation, while supporting validation and qualification activities in regulated environments.
- Providing technical coordination of vendors, system integrators, automation providers, and infrastructure teams, while acting as a key technical reference for the client's Global Program Team including Program Managers and Deployment Leads.
- Driving knowledge management and governance, defining and maintaining technical documentation, implementation guidelines, and best practices to promote solution reusability, scalability, and standardisation across all manufacturing sites.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the MES program, identifying opportunities to enhance technical quality, streamline deployments, and ensure long-term maintainability of implemented solutions.
Your profile
- Experienced MES technical professional with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in MES/MOM implementation within industrial or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, including proven expertise in multi-site deployment programs.
- Strong PAS-X platform expertise, with demonstrable hands-on experience in MES/MOM solutions, OT/IT integrations, and solid knowledge of ISA-95 standards, enterprise and OT application architectures, and system integration and interface design.
- Technical testing and deployment experience, including SIT, UAT, defect management, and go-live activities, with the ability to validate technical solutions against both functional and technical requirements and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, able to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders across IT, OT, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, with professional working proficiency in English.
- Preferred: Experience in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences, with knowledge of GAMP 5, Computer System Validation (CSV), and familiarity with template-based global MES roll-out programs and cross-site standardisation initiatives.
