Junior Operational Analyst | Energy

Your Role

As a Junior OT Operational Analyst, you will be part of an operational team providing OT services to various internal clients, primarily from power generation, but also trading, facility management, gas storage, and more. You'll work with the AVEVA PI platform, a software solution that includes historian database capabilities for archiving process data, performing calculations, and delivering insights through websites, Excel reports, or external applications like PowerBI and AWS.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Being an integral part of the Operations team within the Robin Competence Center (RobinCC), focusing on keep-it-running tasks for various PI systems including monitoring, incident management, and user support
• Serving as the Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) on a rotating weekly basis, taking first-line responsibility for incident management and user communication
• Installing and configuring new PI interfaces as your experience grows
• Setting up new data flows to AWS and developing small scripts
• Performing data migration tasks and supporting over 4,000 users across Europe, Latin-America, the Middle-East, and Australia
• Monitoring and managing over 400 data sources connected to the historian database

Your Profile

• IT background through studies, experience, or demonstrated high interest with minimum 2 years of working experience in IT
• Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, Web APIs, HTML5, Python, Windows Operating Systems, and basic network concepts
• Analytical mindset with a passion for solving both simple and complex IT problems
• Team player with strong communication skills, able to clearly explain technical issues to users and colleagues
• Proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility in an operational environment
• Willingness to undertake occasional short missions abroad
• Fluent in Dutch or French with good knowledge of the other and willingness to improve; very good English skills
• Valid driver's license and access to a car for occasional on-site visits
• Experience with real-time systems, SCADAs, or process historians is preferred
• Knowledge of the AVEVA PI platform is a plus, but training will be provided if needed
