YOUR ROLE

As a Java Software Engineer at Capgemini, you design, build and evolve scalable, high-quality software solutions that support our clients’ most critical business processes, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, maintainable and future-proof applications. You operate in modern engineering environments at the intersection of cloud, microservices and AI-enabled development practices, contributing across the full software lifecycle while ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable software solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through testing, code reviews and engineering best practices
  • Contribute to solution design and provide technical input on architecture and implementation choices
  • Leverage modern tooling and AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality
  • Mentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering standards

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong experience designing and building scalable, maintainable solutions in distributed and cloud-native environments.
  • Familiar with modern software architecture such as microservices and event-driven systems, and principles like DDD or CQRS
  • Experience with CI/CD and knowledge of containerization and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) and front-end frameworks, such as React, Angular or Vue.
  • Language proficiency in Dutch and English (French is considered an asset)
