The Industrial Project Manager is responsible for the operational and strategic management of a complex industrial project in the defense sector. He/she acts as a transversal conductor, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and deadline objectives, while coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to operational commissioning
- Develop and monitor the project schedule (Gantt chart, milestones, deliverables)
- Identify and mobilize key resources (internal and partners)
- Lead weekly follow-up meetings (team of 10 to 12 people)
- Produce steering files, reports, and minutes
- Ensure transversal coordination with technical, quality, production, logistics, security, and IT teams
- Collaborate with the 6 IPM counterparts in charge of other products
- Be present in the field to validate the installation, supervise the operation, and ensure industrial compliance
- Manage project risks and propose corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with security, confidentiality, and compliance standards specific to the defense sector
Your Profile
- Higher education in engineering, project management, or equivalent
- Confirmed experience (minimum 5 years) in managing complex industrial projects, ideally in the defense, aerospace, rail, or energy sectors
- Mastery of project management tools (MS Project, Excel, collaborative tools)
- Excellent communication, team leadership, and transversal management skills
- Ability to work in a demanding, confidential, and regulated environment
- Essential geographical mobility (Wallonia + Flanders)
Additional Assets
- Knowledge of defense sector standards and constraints (cybersecurity, ITAR, specific quality standards) - Experience in a multi-site or international environment
- Professional English required, Dutch appreciated
