Industrial Project Manager | Defense

Job Description

As an Industrial Project Manager in the defense sector, you will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of complex industrial projects across multiple sites in Belgium. You will act as a transversal conductor, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and deadline objectives while coordinating diverse stakeholders.

You will play a key role in:

• Managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to operational commissioning, ensuring adherence to security, confidentiality, and compliance standards specific to the defense sector
• Developing and monitoring comprehensive project schedules including Gantt charts, milestones, and deliverables while identifying and mobilizing key resources
• Leading cross-functional teams and conducting regular follow-up meetings with technical, quality, production, logistics, security, and IT departments
• Producing detailed steering files, reports, and minutes while collaborating with IPM counterparts responsible for other products
• Maintaining field presence to validate installations, supervise operations, and ensure industrial compliance while effectively managing project risks and implementing corrective action plans

Your Profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in project management with minimum 5 years of experience in managing complex industrial projects, preferably in defense, aerospace, rail, or energy sectors
• Demonstrated expertise with project management tools (MS Project, Excel, collaborative tools) and methodologies
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders across organizational boundaries
• Experience working in demanding, confidential, and regulated environments with ability to travel regularly between sites in Wallonia and Flanders
• Professional proficiency in French and English required, with Dutch language skills considered an advantage
