Engineering Delivery Manager | Defense

Job Description

As an Engineering Delivery Manager, you will be the technical project leader coordinating all engineering activities across projects, both internally and with subcontractors and customers. You'll be responsible for meeting costs, schedule, and quality targets for the entire engineering delivery through effective organization and orchestration of all engineering work, considering industrial and service-related constraints.

You will play a key role in:

• Defining the engineering delivery strategy and resource profile based on engineering estimates to ensure successful project delivery
• Creating engineering team work packages with detailed resource requirements, budgets, risks, assumptions, and timescales to deliver solutions within contract parameters
• Ensuring system and sub-component designs (hardware and software) align with technical specifications and functional requirements
• Managing day-to-day engineering team activities with proactive handling of issues, opportunities, and risks
• Interfacing with customers on technical and non-technical aspects of solutions
• Driving and reporting engineering efficiency metrics for projects
• Acting as the People Manager for the engineering team and providing feedback to functional discipline leads

Your profile

• Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Telecommunications knowledge is a plus)
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in technical product management or project management
• Strong engineering background with proven success in defining and leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments with multiple parallel objectives
• Passion for learning new technologies and methods, with strong problem-solving abilities
• Results-oriented, cost-conscious, proactive, and self-motivated approach
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and process-driven development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of French is a valuable asset)
• Capability to handle multiple complex strands to achieve business objectives and work with various stakeholder levels
• Experience in managing risk, identifying opportunities, and fostering continuous improvement
