Embedded Software Engineer - VIE 1

YOUR ROLE

As an Industrial Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be the guardian of supplier quality throughout the entire supply chain, ensuring that suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance in a demanding defence and aerospace environment.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Ensuring the quality of suppliers from the upstream selection phase to downstream performance evaluation, strengthening quality involvement in supplier selection processes, reducing non-quality issues, and improving the overall management and control of supplier risks
• Conducting supplier audits in accordance with the annual plan, participating in the upstream supplier selection process by providing a comprehensive summary of supplier knowledge, identifying potential risks, and proposing risk mitigation actions
• Carrying out actions to improve supplier maturity through structured action plans, and implementing internal improvement initiatives to enhance operations with suppliers across the supply chain
• Capturing and managing supplier issues, conducting root cause analyses, following up on corrective actions with suppliers, and communicating supplier risks internally across processes, resources, and infrastructure
• Participating in the establishment and implementation of critical supplier audit and monitoring plans as part of an integrated team with Supply Chain, Industrial Quality, and Procurement stakeholders
• Travelling in Belgium and abroad as part of the function (approximately 50% of the time), providing on-site technical support and conducting supplier assessments across international locations

YOUR PROFILE

As an Industrial Supplier Quality Engineer, you are a proactive and rigorous professional with a solid technical background in mechanical and electronic engineering, capable of driving supplier quality improvements in a complex, regulated, and international environment.

• You hold an engineering degree with a mechanical and/or electronic orientation, and bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial supplier quality position, ideally in the defence, aerospace, or a similarly regulated industrial environment
• You have solid expertise in supplier quality management, including supplier audits, root cause analysis, corrective action follow-up, and risk management across complex supply chains
• You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and precise technical documents, and the capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while remaining autonomous when required
• You are comfortable operating in an international environment and are willing to travel in Belgium and abroad for approximately 50% of your working time to conduct supplier assessments and audits
• You bring a proactive, committed, and enthusiastic attitude to your work, with a rigorous, methodical, and well-organised approach, and a strong commitment to quality excellence and continuous improvement in a defence and aerospace context
