Electrical Designer | Life Sciences
Your Role
Capgemini Engineering is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will act as a technical interface between external suppliers and the internal engineering team, translating electrical design documentation into fully standardized, audit-ready documentation.
In this role, you will play a key part in:

Reviewing, redrawing, and standardizing electrical design packages from external suppliers, including single-line diagrams, switchboard schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists, using EPLAN Electric P8.

Converting legacy drawings (AutoCAD, PDF, and scanned files) into fully functional, intelligent EPLAN projects in accordance with approved templates, symbol libraries, and naming conventions.

Ensuring that all electrical documentation complies with industry standards such as IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439, and IEC 81346, as well as GxP regulations and internal engineering standards.

Contributing to the reduction of the electrical design backlog for production lines, utilities, process installations, and automation cabinets, while maintaining full traceability and version control.

Collaborating with electrical engineers, automation and controls engineers, and validation teams to identify recurring supplier design issues and propose standardization improvements.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer, Electrical CAD Technician, Technical Drafter, or Electrical Design Drafter
- Strong hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8 (mandatory)
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering principles, control systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation environments
- Familiarity with electrical standards such as IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439, and IEC 81346
- Experience converting and standardizing legacy documentation from AutoCAD, PDFs, and scanned drawings is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams

For this role, the gross annual starting base salary is 41.000 EURO (full-time). This covers base pay only; any bonuses, incentives, and benefits will be discussed later in the recruitment process. Candidates with additional experience or qualifications may receive a higher offer, determined by objective, gender-neutral criteria and consistent with our pay principles. If a collective labour agreement applies, we will explain the relevant pay terms at the interview stage. Note: We never ask for your current or previous salary during our hiring process.
