Data Lead - ED&A

Two dashboards that disagree are a small problem today. Once AI agents start answering from both, it becomes a big one. If you want to shape that shift rather than watch it, join Capgemini Invent's Data & AI team as Data Lead. You will advise clients on governance, data products and a shared semantic layer, and lead the teams that put them into practice.

Many organisations have AI ambition. Fewer have a clear path to measurable impact. Capgemini Invent, the strategy, consulting and transformation brand of Capgemini, helps business leaders find that path. More than 1,000 strategists, data scientists, designers and technologists in over 30 offices worldwide decide where AI will change a business and build the roadmap to get there, with data at the core. Capgemini supports clients end to end, from AI strategy to enterprise-scale deployment. Beyond off-the-shelf tools, we build tailored AI layers on top of clients' existing systems, so that AI works within their real processes, data and controls. That starts with trusted, governed data, which is where our Data & AI team comes in.

YOUR ROLE

As Data Lead, you are the senior voice on how our clients' data is governed, shaped and put to work. You lead client engagements and a team of data professionals, help grow the team’s offering, and, while always client-facing, can go hands-on to set the technical standard.

Your role centres on three pillars: data governance, data products and platforms, and the semantic layer. Agentic analytics is an area of familiarity rather than depth. In practice, that means:

•    Advise senior client stakeholders, turning data strategy into roadmaps and business cases
•    Define pragmatic, federated governance that business teams adopt and that makes client data ready for AI
•    Design and launch domain-oriented data products with clear owners and value cases, on architectures that fit each client's maturity and existing stack
•    Establish a governed semantic layer as the single source of truth for BI, applications and AI agents, and lead the analytics engineering practices behind it
•    Contribute to business development and the growth of Invent's data offering

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a data leader with 8+ years of experience, including previous consulting experience.

General and advisory skills and experience

•    Proven ability to lead teams and run client engagements end to end, from shaping the vision to scaling the solution
•    Executive presence: you can challenge, advise and influence senior business and technology stakeholders
•    An entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgement in ambiguous situations, and an appetite to help build an offering, not just deliver one
•    Fluency in English and Dutch or French

Technical skills and experience

•    A track record leading data governance, data management or data product initiatives in complex organisations, and making them stick
•    Solid understanding of modern data architectures and cloud data platforms, with the flexibility to adapt to each client's stack
•    A hands-on track record, or the ability to go hands-on, in analytics engineering and semantic or metrics layers
•    Familiarity with AI and agentic analytics and a clear view of what is production-ready and what is not
•    Familiarity with BI tools and with designing self-service operating models

We're building a team for the future. If you're excited by the role and believe you can make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE

At Capgemini, we actively embody our motto: "Make it real":

•    A clear career path with ample growth potential in a dynamic, diverse team
•    Autonomy to shape your growth path and work on initiatives that match your interests
•    Training and development, including certifications from our partner network
•    Flexible working: teleworking, flexible hours and opportunities to work abroad
•    Personalised mentoring from a dedicated counsellor to support your personal and professional growth
•    An inspiring, collaborative atmosphere with team events and after-work enjoyment
