Responsibilities:

  • Actively participating in defining and deploying the company's procurement policy, in alignment with overall strategic objectives
  • Developing detailed specifications in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including legal, technical, and commercial experts
  • Conducting thorough monitoring of market mechanisms and their evolutions to identify strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Methodically analyzing and evaluating supplier offers and submissions according to rigorous quality, cost, and time criteria
  • Finalizing advantageous contracts through strategic negotiations with suppliers on pricing, contractual clauses, and service levels
  • Developing cost optimization initiatives in partnership with internal clients and suppliers to maximize procurement value
  • Ensuring complete management of the supplier contract lifecycle, from establishment to execution monitoring and renewal
  • Providing expert commercial and contractual support for complex technical projects and specific or exceptional purchasing needs

Your Profile

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably with technical background
  • An experience with 10+ years in buyer roles
  • Solid understanding of Belgian commercial law and procurement regulations
  • Professional fluency in French and English required; Dutch language skills highly valued for our Belgian operations
  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities with proven success in complex commercial discussions
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong analytical mindset with talent for evaluating market conditions and supplier performance
  • Collaborative approach with demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
