Job Description
Enterprise Service Management (ESM) ServiceNow Employee Center Pro (ECP) HR Service Delivery (HRSD) Developer
The ServiceNow ECP/HRSD Developer builds and configures solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enable a modern employee experience through Employee Center Pro (ECP) and efficient HR Service Delivery (HRSD) operations. This role works closely with HR stakeholders, business analysts, architects, and QA to implement HR services, case management workflows, knowledge and catalog experiences, portal content and design, integrations, and automation—while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, upgrade-safe, and aligned to enterprise standards.
Qualifications:
- 3–6+ years ServiceNow development experience (or equivalent platform development).
- Hands-on experience implementing HRSD and/or Employee Center / Employee Center Pro.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow development fundamentals:
- Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes
- Data model design (tables, fields), ACLs/roles/groups
- Experience with Service Catalog (record producers, variables, catalog client scripts, workflows/flows).
- Understanding of secure development practices and handling of sensitive data.
- Experience with HR Agent Workspace, lifecycle events, document management, and advanced case routing.
- Experience building employee experiences using UI Builder / Experience patterns (where applicable).
- Integration experience with Workday/SAP HCM/payroll and identity systems (Azure AD/SSO).
- Experience with Virtual Agent implementations for HR intake and self-service.
- Familiarity with Now Assist / AI features (e.g., case summarization, suggested responses, knowledge generation) where enabled.
- Performance Analytics experience (HR dashboards, KPIs, reporting).
- Certifications:
- ITIL 4/5 (required)
- ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) (required)
- CIS – HRSD (highly preferred)
- CAD (Certified Application Developer)
- Any Employee Center / Portal / UX-related ServiceNow micro-certifications (where applicable)

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- HRSD Configuration & Development
- Configure and enhance HRSD capabilities including:
- HR case types, templates, assignment/routing rules, HR tasks, SLAs/OLAs
- Notifications, approvals, escalations, and communications templates
- HR Agent Workspace configurations (forms, lists, agent assist elements where applicable)
- Build and maintain workflow/automation using Flow Designer, business rules (when needed), and scripted solutions in line with best practices.
- Configure and enhance HRSD capabilities including:
- Employee Center Pro (ECP) Experience Development
- Configure and build Employee Center Pro experiences:
- Topic pages, content blocks, landing pages, navigation structure, and branding
- Knowledge and catalog presentation patterns for self-service optimization
- Search tuning and content relevance improvements (with knowledge owners/UX)
- Implement consistent UX patterns, accessibility considerations, and responsive design.
- Configure and build Employee Center Pro experiences:
- Service Catalog & Knowledge Enablement (HR Services)
- Build HR service catalog items (including record producers), variables/variable sets, UI policies, and workflows.
- Configure knowledge bases, article templates, taxonomy, and publishing workflows.
- Partner with HR and content owners to implement deflection-focused experiences (find answers fast, reduce case volume).
- Integration & Data Enablement
- Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow HRSD and HR/enterprise systems (examples: Workday, SAP HCM, payroll providers, identity systems, document repositories).
- Use IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted APIs, and MID Server patterns as needed.
- Implement robust error handling, logging/monitoring hooks, and reconciliation support.
- Security, Privacy & Compliance for HR Data
- Implement HR data protection requirements (PII/confidential cases) through:
- Roles, groups, ACLs, data policies, field security, and restricted read/write patterns
- Secure handling of attachments and documents
- Auditing support and privacy-by-design practices
- Follow internal standards and regulatory requirements as applicable (e.g., GDPR/CCPA where relevant).
- Implement HR data protection requirements (PII/confidential cases) through:
- Quality Engineering & Release Execution
- Create and maintain automated/regression tests where applicable (e.g., ATF), support SIT/UAT, and resolve defects quickly.
- Ensure upgrade-safe development practices (limit customizations, avoid anti-patterns, use OOTB capabilities where possible).
- Support DevOps processes: code reviews, source control/CI-CD (where implemented), deployment packaging, and release documentation.
- Operational Readiness & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in hypercare, troubleshoot production issues, and execute root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain configuration documentation, reusable components, and solution runbooks.
- Recommend enhancements to improve employee experience, agent productivity, and platform maintainability.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $84,150 to $170,040.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
