About the role you're considering
The Quality Inspector (Quality Line Side - QLS) is responsible for performing line-side inspections on aerostructure assemblies and components to ensure compliance with engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and customer requirements. The inspector works directly within the production environment supporting A350 programs, performing detailed inspections of fuselage panels, structural assemblies, finishes, fastener installations, and product conformity.
This role serves as a critical member of the Quality Operations team, responsible for identifying, documenting, and managing non-conformities while ensuring product integrity, traceability, safety, and compliance with Production Organization Approval and applicable aerospace regulations.
Your role
- Perform detailed quality inspections of aircraft structures, including panels, junctions, crown assemblies, shell assemblies, and internal/external surfaces, ensuring compliance with client manufacturing standards.
- Conduct paint and surface quality inspections, evaluating appearance, color, paint thickness, gloss, orange peel, and overall surface condition against client specifications.
- Inspect and verify proper fastener installation, including flushness, grip length, lockbolts, collar condition, angularity, and countersunk fastener requirements using calibrated measurement tools.
- Assess structural defects and product quality issues, including surface damage, composite laminate conditions, dimensional conformity, and component condition, while supporting defect investigation activities.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformances by creating NCRs, maintaining quality data in MES/SAP systems, verifying concessions, and supporting corrective action initiatives.
- Ensure Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and product safety by inspecting assemblies for cleanliness, applying industry FOD standards, and supporting zero-defect manufacturing goals.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, traceability documentation, and regulatory compliance while supporting audits, customer inspections, operational reviews, and adherence to Airbus quality procedures.
Your skills and experience
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or Quality preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft assembly, composites, or aerostructures.
- Experience performing line-side inspections in a production environment.
- Experience with non-conformance management systems.
- Experience using MES, SAP, or equivalent manufacturing systems preferred.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911.00 - $161,544.00

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
