Your Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in translating architectural concepts into detailed designs and guiding design engineers throughout the development lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality technical outputs, leading technical discussions, and collaborating across teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Independently carry out all responsibilities of a Design Engineer with high quality and minimal guidance.
• Coach and mentor Design Engineers, providing feedback to support their technical growth.
• Review and finalize deliverables such as Technical Product Documentation, Bill of Materials (BoM), and 3D Models.
• Collaborate with suppliers, factory teams, and field engineers to implement solutions.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to define scope and ensure timely delivery with required quality.
• Identify dependencies in assigned features or work packages and communicate them effectively.
• Lead technical meetings and engage with stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges.
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Participate in Change Control Board discussions and provide input on assigned work.
• Collaborate with other Lead Engineers to promote best practices and drive knowledge sharing through Communities of Practice (CoP) and other forums.

Your Profile

• 8–14 years of experience in mechanical or design engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of Client’s Ways of Working (WoW) and proficiency in both Capgemini and Client’s engineering/project tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in leading design reviews and technical meetings independently.
