C Senior Engineer

Our client is one of the leading companies in the field of accounting SaaS solutions. Client's project is the custom hypervisor software that provides increased performance and lower TCO (total cost of ownership) for various memory-intensive applications (as compared with more traditional systems). Currently, the project's been porting from Intel to ARM platform. 
The position is to join Virtualization team that handles this porting to ARM (and all other tasks related to virtualization as well). The main skills required are ANSI C experience as well as Linux kernel or driver development experience.

Your role:

• Build new features and maintain existing functionality of the client’s platform/product per specs and design;
• Participate in code reviews;
• Report to Team Lead or supervisor about feature readiness/quality and raise red flags in crisis situations;
• Participate in functional and architectural design of assigned features;
• Research and evaluate technical options to implement assigned features;
• Provide estimations of feature scope and split it into tasks;
• Work in close contact with team members or other relevant stakeholders;
• Follow established software development processes;
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.

Your Profile:

• ANSI C programming experience;
• Linux kernel or driver development on ARM/x86;
• Multi-core programming experience :Phy. Interrupts Delivery, Mem. Fences, Mem. Barriers, Primitives for Multicore Management “Lockless data structures”;
• x86 or ARM programming experience (processor Op codes; emulation)
• Linux-POSIX or develoment (not configuration and integration);
• Writing designs for low level modules
• Sufficient English level for communication (verbal & written);
• Technical documentation writing skills;
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience of building/optimization software for ARM processors;
• Experience with Virtualization software, HyperVisor;
• Assembly language (x86_64 or aarch64).
