Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java AWS Architect with over 10 years of experience in designing developing and supporting enterprise applications The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java technologies AWS cloud services architectural design and production support This role requires the ability to provide technical leadership collaborate across agile teams and deliver scalable and secure solutions that meet business needs
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Technical Leadership
Lead endtoend architecture and design of enterprise solutions across multiple platforms and technologies
Provide technical guidance prepare architecture and design artifacts and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Collaborate with product owners architects and agile teams to define and deliver scalable secure and reliable solutions
Engage with multiple squads to deliver architecture components drive issue resolution and support longterm product roadmaps
Evaluate and recommend technologies ensuring solutions align with the organizations strategic vision
Backend Development Java
Develop and maintain applications using Java 811 Spring Boot Spring Framework Spring Batch Hibernate and microservices
Build highperformance backend services with focus on scalability maintainability and security
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
AWS Cloud Engineering
Design deploy and maintain cloudnative applications using AWS services including
EC2 ECS Lambda Load Balancers CloudWatch CDK and GitLab CICD pipelines
Apply cloud architecture best practices for performance security cost optimization and high availability
Production Support Performance Optimization
Analyze debug and resolve production issues as per Incident SLAs
Act as Subject Matter Expert by developing deep functional knowledge of the application
Use Splunk and Dynatrace for log analysis performance monitoring and recommending improvements
Apply Linux commandline and shell scripting skills for troubleshooting and automation
Documentation Continuous Improvement
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including design specifications and support guides
Conduct rootcause analysis and propose enhancements to improve stability and performance
Continuously explore new technologies and best practices to drive improvements across teams
Collaboration Agile Delivery
Work effectively in agile environments and contribute to sprint planning architecture discussions and code reviews
Collaborate with technical and nontechnical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation
Required Skills Experience
10 years of experience in IT with strong background in enterprise architecture design and development
Strong handson expertise with
Java Java EEJakarta EE Spring Boot Spring Framework Hibernate
Oracle PostgreSQL complex SQL query development
AWS services including EC2 ECS Lambda Load Balancers CloudWatch CDK
Experience in CICD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools
Strong understanding of Linux and shell scripting
Experience with logs and monitoring using Splunk and Dynatrace
Strong problemsolving skills analytical thinking and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and collaborate
Experience with clientside technologies Angular TypeScript HTML5 CSS3 is a plus
AWS Certification Solutions Architect or Developer is preferred
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$106230 to $145000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
