Your Role

As a Senior GCP Data Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms and pipelines on Google Cloud. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enable reliable, high-quality data flows that support analytics, reporting, and business-critical applications. This role requires strong technical depth, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to guide and influence teams in a dynamic environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Architect, build, and maintain large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines using modern data engineering frameworks.Work extensively with GCP services such as BigQuery, GCS, Composer, IAM, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.Implement robust ETL/ELT solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.Optimize pipeline performance, troubleshoot distributed systems, and ensure platform reliability.Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, security, data governance, and lifecycle management.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and manage risks or changes effectively.Mentor junior engineers, remove blockers, and drive engineering excellence through technical leadership.Contribute to Infra‑as‑Code (Terraform), CI/CD, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Your Profile

  • 6–10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.UG/PG in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Strong analytical thinking, quick understanding of requirements, and proactive decision-making.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with relational, NoSQL, and big data ecosystems.Expertise in Python and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Beam.Demonstrated experience building and optimizing complex data pipelines in cloud environments (GCP preferred).Strong understanding of data quality, security principles, and lifecycle management.Hands-on experience with Git, Terraform, and Linux/Bash.Proven leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams without micromanagement.Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced industries such as Telecom (preferred).
