Your Role
As a WiFi Developer/Lead, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for advanced WiFi products, including Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers. You’ll work on cutting-edge wireless standards, contribute to design documentation, and lead small teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Develop software for WiFi products such as Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Work with 802.11 standards (802.11n/ac; theoretical knowledge of 11ax preferred).
- Utilize HostAP Daemon software and related interfaces.
- Apply deep understanding of WiFi management plane protocols, security (WPA2/WPA3), beamforming, band steering, MIMO, channel bandwidth, and MCS rates.
- Work with WiFi chipset SDKs (Broadcom, Qualcomm, Quantenna) and Linux WiFi stack (mac80211, cfg80211, hostapd).
- Perform basic IP networking and Linux programming tasks.
- Write and review SRS and design documents as a mandatory part of the role.
- Debug WiFi issues in the field when required.
- Manage and mentor a small team of engineers.
Your Profile
- Strong expertise in C programming and Linux-based development.
- Hands-on experience with WiFi protocols and chipset SDKs.
- Familiarity with wireless standards and security mechanisms.
- Ability to contribute to design documentation and lead technical discussions.
- Prior experience managing a team is essential.
