Transport/Logistics Transformation Consultant

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Transport / Logistics Transformation Consultant with expertise in logistics operations, transportation management, supply chain transformation, and digital enablement. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, logistics cost optimization, process transformation, operating model design, and technology-led improvements across end-to-end transportation and supply chain functions.

The consultant will partner with business stakeholders to identify process gaps, design future-state solutions, implement best practices, and deliver measurable business outcomes through transformation initiatives.

 

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Assess and optimize end-to-end logistics and transportation processes across Road, Ocean, and Multimodal freight operations.
  • Conduct freight cost optimization, SPOT reduction, carrier performance, and transportation utilization assessments.
  • Design and document AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, SOPs, operating models, and governance frameworks.
  • Analyze logistics KPIs including Fill Rate (VFR/WFR), Tender Response, Planning On-Time, On-Time Pickup (PU), and On-Time Delivery (DD).
  • Support implementation and optimization of transportation solutions such as Blue Yonder (BY), JDA TMS, SAP MM, WMS, and Track & Trace platforms.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness, warehouse slot utilization, and shipment visibility.
  • Facilitate workshops, Fit-Gap Analysis, SIT, UAT, stakeholder reviews, and solution validation activities.
  • Support logistics transitions, knowledge transfer, hypercare, ramp-up, and operational stabilization.
  • Develop dashboards, performance reports, and value-unlock recommendations using Power BI and analytics tools.
  • Identify automation, digitalization, AI/ML, and continuous improvement opportunities within logistics operations.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong knowledge of Logistics Operations, Transportation Management, Freight Management, Carrier Management, and Supply Chain Processes.
  • Experience in Transportation Planning, Track & Trace, Network Optimization, Logistics Governance, and Operating Model Design.
  • Understanding of transportation performance metrics, freight cost structures, shipment visibility, and process transformation methodologies.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, and data analytics solutions.
  • Expertise in transportation and logistics platforms such as Blue Yonder (BY), JDA TMS, SAP MM, WMS, INTTRA, and Track & Trace solutions.
  • Exposure to automation, digital transformation, AI/ML use cases, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in communicating with global clients and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma or relevant Supply Chain / Logistics certifications preferred.
  • Industry certifications related to Transportation, Logistics, or Operations Management are desirable.
