Production Planning Specialist

Your Role

We are looking for a Production Planning professional with strong expertise in production scheduling, and exception management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP, with SAP S/4HANA knowledge being preferred. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective production planning, schedule adherence, and risk mitigation.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Prepare and maintain draft Master Production Schedules (MPS) by considering demand changes, distribution requirements, production exceptions, line balancing, and third-party (3P) capacity constraints.
• Finalize and publish MPS after validating production constraints, resolving escalations, and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analyze scheduling insights and refine production plans based on inputs received from Materials, Factory Operations, and PIPO teams.
• Conduct weekly Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) reviews with plant teams to refresh MPS, assess short-term risks, and validate necessary plan adjustments.
• Develop and publish daily production schedules while considering material availability, production sequencing requirements, and operational priorities.
• Manage ERP execution and scheduling horizon exceptions by assessing feasibility, evaluating supply alternatives, performing system updates, and documenting resolutions.
• Monitor daily production adherence through direction-setting huddles, compliance reviews, exception tracking, and performance-to-plan analysis.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity in production and timely resolution of operational bottlenecks.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Production Planning and Scheduling.
• Hands-on experience in Master Production Scheduling (MPS).
• Expertise in Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, and Exception Management for 4 to 8 years.
• Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP (Mandatory).
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment.
