PDE EMC Part Level Validation

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform EMC validation testing for automotive components and ECUs, including both bench-level and chamber-based testing.
  • Execute and interpret tests as per industry standards such as:
    • ISO 11452 (Immunity testing)
    • ISO 7637 (Transient immunity)
    • CISPR 25 (Emission testing)
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct EMC test setups, ensuring accurate configuration and calibration of test equipment.
  • Analyze test results, identify non-compliances, and provide actionable recommendations for design improvements.
  • Collaborate with design, hardware, and system engineering teams to address EMC-related issues.
  • Document test results, validation reports, and compliance status in a structured and traceable manner.
  • Support troubleshooting activities during EMC failures and drive root cause analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to automotive validation processes and quality standards.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of EMC principles and automotive standards (ISO 11452, ISO 7637, CISPR 25).
  • Hands-on experience with ECU EMC validation, including both bench testing and chamber testing.
  • Familiarity with EMC test equipment such as LISN, antennas, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to interpret test results and suggest improvements for compliance.
  • Understanding of automotive electronics and system-level interactions.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the automotive domain with exposure to electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Familiarity with validation lifecycle and compliance documentation.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
