Your Role

As a Datacom Developer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols in high-performance routing and switching platforms. You will work on control and forwarding plane features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the evolution of next-generation networking products.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop features for Ethernet VPN (EVPN), Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, SRv6), and Traffic Engineering (SR-TE).
• Implement and optimize L2/L3 protocol stacks in embedded systems.
• Work on control plane and forwarding plane development for routers and switches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, test, and debug networking protocols.
• Contribute to the development of scalable routing architectures and network security features.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and work with platforms such as Metaswitch.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
• 6–8 years of experience in telecom or product-based companies.
• Strong programming skills in C (primary) and C++ (secondary).
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments.
• Deep understanding of L2/L3 protocol development including MPLS, EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRv6.
• Experience with router and switch software development.
• Familiarity with network automation using NETCONF-YANG models, JSON, and XML.
• Knowledge of QoS, network security, and high-scale routing architectures is a plus.
• Experience with tools such as GIT, JIRA, and scripting languages like Python is desirable.
