Your Role

As a Control System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing electrical control systems for machine and automation projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, safe, and high-quality control panel and system designs.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop control systems for SPM and machine design projects, including concept design, modifications, and system evolution.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation such as Bill of Materials (BOM), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, synoptic diagrams, and terminal lists.
• Select and calculate electrical components in compliance with both IEC and CSA/UL standards.
• Design Safety PLC systems and safety architectures in line with IEC and SIL safety standards.
• Apply working knowledge of pneumatics, including symbols and pneumatic circuit design.
• Configure PLC hardware and I/O systems as per project requirements.
• Perform self-quality checks on designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate actively in design reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance design quality.

Tools & Technologies

• SEE Electrical (Preferred)
• EPLAN or equivalent electrical CAD tools
• TeamCenter (Siemens) for data and documentation management

Your Profile

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in control system or electrical design for machines or automation projects.
• Strong understanding of control panel design, electrical standards, and safety systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems, safety PLCs, and pneumatic circuits.
• Familiarity with international electrical standards (IEC, CSA, UL, SIL).
• Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in engineering and project teams.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
