Associate Business Advisor

Your Role

• Perform name/transaction sanctions screening of real time hits for potential sanctions violations as per the internal and external watchlists
• Responsible for conducting Sanctions Screening for customers and incoming and outbound payments using LexisNexis – Bridger
• Investigating false positives, true positive hits, and escalating for further review and approval
• Writing dispositions with clear rationale substantiating their decision about the match being positive or false
• Effectively investigate, document, and identify anomalies and use judgment for to determine if case needs to be escalated to L2 for further investigation
• 100% adherence to policies and procedures
• Produce accurate and quality work (95%) under tight deadlines and minimal

In this role you will play a key role in:

• University graduate
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Minimum 1-10 years related banking, compliance, audit experience with a minimum of 1-2 years specific experience relating to sanctions screening according to specific banking policies and relevant AML legislations across NA, EU & APAC jurisdictions
• Maintain a working knowledge of anti-money laundering related requirements including BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, SEC, FINRA, and other applicable US, UK EMEA regulations
• Actively engage in the identification of potential process shortcomings or required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict tight deadlines
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and influencing skills 
• Exhibit high willingness to collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Familiarity with platforms & tools like Factiva, Dow Jones Risk, Pega, Fenergo, Actimize, World Check, Lexis Nexis Bridger, and RDC
