About the Position

As a Gear Design Engineer, you will join an engineering team specialized in the design, optimization, and industrialization of complex gear systems. You will be involved in the full development cycle: requirements definition, modeling, functional and dimensional analyses, technical validation, and support for industrialization.

This position is intended for an engineer passionate about precision mechanics, knowledgeable in gear design principles, and eager to grow in a stimulating and demanding technical environment.

Profile Required

Education:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Design, or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) in mechanics or mechanical systems design.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in gear design or precision mechanical design.
  • Experience in an industrial environment, engineering office, or R&D is required.
  • Prior experience in the design of gear trains (gear pairs, planetary gear sets…) is highly appreciated.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in specialized gear design software such as KissSoft, MASTA, or LDP.
  • Expertise in optimizing gear systems, including:
    • gear pairs,
    • planetary gear trains,
    • durability, cost, and performance analysis,
    • integration of NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) requirements.
  • Good command of CAD software (CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks…).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for gears and mechanical components.
  • Ability to lead design-for-manufacturability discussions with international suppliers.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Rigor, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Technical curiosity, autonomy, and proactiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical topics simultaneously.
