Senior Software Test Engineer

Your Role

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you ensure high quality of software solutions in collaboration with the whole development team. Your focus lies on effective testing, quality in automation, programming and deploying software. 

· Understand business requirements, functional specifications, interface documents, and user stories to derive test scope and test conditions.

· Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data for system testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing support.

· Execute test cases and validate data flow across integrated applications, interfaces, and APIs.

· Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA, qTest, Xray, or HP ALM.

· Work closely with business analysts, developers, architects, and other project stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

· Participate in defect triage meetings and provide clear test status, risk, and quality updates.

· Support test planning activities including estimation, traceability, progress reporting, and test completion reporting.

· Contribute to regression test pack creation and maintenance for repeatable validation cycles.

· Support UAT and business validation by coordinating test evidence, issue tracking, and closure follow-up.

About You

· Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in software testing with strong focus on integration testing and functional testing.

· Experience testing enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle R12, Salesforce, STEP MDM, web applications, or similar business-critical systems.

· Strong understanding of SIT, interface testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and UAT support.

· Experience in API and interface validation, including upstream/downstream system integration testing.

· Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, qTest, Xray, or HP ALM.

· Ability to create test approach inputs, test scenarios, test cases, execution reports, and defect summaries.

· Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills, including working with hybrid teams.
