Role Overview

Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) / Commercial Project Management (CPM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of project management solutions within SAP S/4HANA. The role involves working closely with clients to deliver scalable and integrated PS/CPM capabilities that enhance project planning, execution, financial tracking, and commercial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead SAP PS and CPM solution design, configuration, and deployment.

Analyze business requirements related to project planning, budgeting, cost control, resource management, and commercial processes.

Configure core SAP PS components:

Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

Networks & Activities

Cost Planning & Budgeting

Settlements

Milestones, Progress Analysis, Results Analysis

Design and configure SAP CPM functions including:

Project Workspace & Project Control

Commercial Planning

Risk & Issue Management

Financial planning and profitability management

Develop functional specs for WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

Support full project lifecycle activities—blueprinting, build, testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Work with cross-functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, HR, PM) for integrated solutions.

Provide L2/L3 production support and ensure adherence to SLAs.

Prepare documentation: configuration guides, process flows, training materials.

Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP PS/CPM capability.

Required Skills & Experience

4–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Project Systems and/or Commercial Project Management.

Strong understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle: planning, execution, controlling, billing, and financial closure.

Deep knowledge in:

WBS, Networks, Activities

Costing, Budgeting, Forecasting

RA (Results Analysis) & Settlements

Project Billing (Fixed Price, Time & Material)

Experience with SAP S/4HANA PS/CPM preferred.

Integration expertise with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM.

Proven capability to work in onshore/offshore delivery models.

Ability to create functional specifications and collaborate effectively with ABAP teams.

Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Certification in PS or CPM.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe).

Prior consulting experience with global clients.

Exposure to EPPM, PPM, or SAP Analytics Cloud for project reporting (optional).
