SAP MM/WM Senior Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SAP MM/WM projects from initiation to post-implementation support, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, to gather business requirements and design SAP MM/WM solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct detailed analysis of existing supply chain processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Configure and customize SAP MM/WM modules to meet business requirements, including material master data management, purchasing, inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory.
- Define and implement warehouse structures, including storage types, storage sections, storage bins, and storage unit management, to optimize warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
- Perform data migration activities, including data extraction, cleansing, and transformation, to ensure smooth transition from legacy systems to SAP MM/WM.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate the functionality and performance of SAP MM/WM solutions.
- Provide end-user training and support during the implementation phase and post-implementation to ensure successful adoption of SAP MM/WM systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and system defects related to SAP MM/WM modules, working closely with technical teams and SAP support to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Stay current with SAP MM/WM best practices, industry trends, and advancements in technology, and proactively recommend process improvements and system enhancements to optimize supply chain operations.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise in SAP MM/WM implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM/WM, configuration, and support.
- Fluency in English is a must. French or German is an advantage.
- Soft skills – Stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, change management.
- Strong expertise in SAP MM/WM modules, including experience with submodules such as material master data, purchasing, inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory.
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end SAP MM/WM implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and user training.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and business processes, coupled with the ability to map business requirements to SAP MM/WM functionalities.
- Proficient in SAP MM/WM configuration, including material type configuration, procurement types, valuation types, movement types, and other relevant configuration elements.
- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM/WM and other SAP modules (e.g., FI, SD) and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to SAP MM/WM.
- Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- SAP MM/WM certification is highly desirable.
