Procurement Category Manager - External Resources & Corporate Professional Services

Job Description

Has a strategic leadership role and is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement strategy within categories. Is required to develop and execute category plans, leading a team of procurement professionals, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Leads the procurement function in a large part of the business, successfully managing supplier relationships and spend categories to forecast and deliver cost savings, complex cases of development, and make budgetary decisions.

Role Overview: Manages team of Procurement professionals Builds, reinforces and distributes sourcing strategies to fit internal key functions Leads key contract negotiations, including completing costs analyses and negotiations on terms and conditions Drives savings initiatives while maintaining quality standards Proactively manages supplier relationship Acts as a strategic Business Partner and enabler Builds and maintains strong relationships with other Group Stakeholders Monitors and reports on KPIs related to the scope Stays informed about industry best practices and emerging trends Analyzes market trends and applies this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions Understand end to end Procure to Pay P2P within the Category scope Ensures procurement activities comply with laws and regulations Provides support and mentorship to more junior procurement teams Seeks continuously for procurement processes improvements Supports transformation initiatives General Responsibilities or Accountabilities: Directs and supervises procurement professionals, acting as a people manager to foster a collaborative and high performing team Drives complex RFx process Implements effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals Responsible for preferred supply base sourcing and deployment aligned with stakeholders Responsible for category related sourcing planning, aligned with stakeholders Responsible for developing and maintaining cost savings initiatives and obtaining Finance validation Sets up proper Preferred Supplier List PSL for the given category, securing effective supplier relationship management Formulates budget and forecast on spend category Forecasts, identifies, reports cost savings, managing risk and opportunities across entities Reports and monitors category profile information spend and opportunity assessment data, current order processes, supplier performance and other KPIs Responsible for contributing strategically on global strategic processes of sourcing, negotiating, contracting Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key Stakeholders Ensures correlation between contract, quotes and Purchase Requisition during the validation process Develops a deep knowledge of the providers market in his category, their goods and services and associated risks Enforces all procurement policies and compliance processes Provides guidance to the procurement teams and promotes a collaborative working culture Continually strives to simplify, standardize and improve procurement processes Actively involved in transformation projects activities acting as an category Subject Matter Experts
