Role Overview

We are seeking SAP developers with strong ABAP backgrounds and solid SQL skills to join our global data migration team. While this role does not involve traditional ABAP programming, it is ideal for professionals who want to leverage their technical understanding of SAP systems, data models, and integration mechanisms to support ETL and data migration activities in the context of SAP S/4HANA transformations.

As a Lead SAP Developer, you will collaborate with functional consultants, data migration specialists, and business teams to define technical requirements, validate data, and ensure successful migration outcomes using Syniti’s data management platform.

What You Will Do:

After an initial training period, you will:

  • Apply your SAP technical expertise to guide data migration efforts across Supply Chain, Finance, and Procurement modules.
  • Collaborate with migration consultants to define transformation rules and ensure technical accuracy of migrated data.
  • Use SQL and SAP system knowledge to analyze source data, validate reconciliation, and support reporting activities.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of data migration strategies for SAP S/4HANA.
  • Document technical requirements and support testing and validation phases.
  • Learn and apply Syniti’s data migration methodology and tools, leveraging your SAP development background to bridge technical and functional teams.

What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background as a technical SAP developer with deep knowledge of SAP data structures, tables, and integration points.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Interest or experience in ETL, data migration, or data quality projects (prior experience is a plus but not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel based on project needs.
