Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Engagement Manager / Project Manager with strong expertise in delivering SAP Public Cloud projects. You will lead end‑to‑end program execution, manage client relationships, coordinate cross‑functional delivery teams, and ensure successful implementation of SAP Public Cloud solutions. This role requires strong project governance skills, deep understanding of SAP Activate methodology, and proven experience managing cloud‑based ERP transformations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of SAP Public Cloud programs across all project phases, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, risks, and overall project health.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, sprint cycles, and delivery governance using SAP Activate methodology.
• Facilitate business workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution validation activities.
• Ensure alignment between business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Drive Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, backlog prioritization, iteration reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage cross‑module dependencies and collaborate with teams delivering Finance, Procurement, HR, and other cloud modules.
• Oversee data migration, cutover planning, testing cycles, and readiness assessments for go‑live.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and blockers while ensuring compliance with PMO standards.
• Monitor project KPIs, prepare executive reporting, and ensure overall delivery excellence for Public Cloud engagements.
• Support post–go‑live hypercare activities and manage the transition to operations/support teams.

 

Required Experience

• 6+ years of SAP project management or engagement management experience.
• Mandatory: Proven experience leading SAP Public Cloud implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or SAP SuccessFactors Public Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Agile delivery practices, and cloud‑based implementation models.
• Experience managing cross-functional SAP teams and coordinating with global delivery centers.
• Strong understanding of cloud limitations, extensibility options, integration patterns, and release management processes.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget with strong governance discipline.
• Excellent communication, client management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage complex workstreams, navigate change management, and influence senior leadership.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Activate Certification (or equivalent project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile).
• Experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud-specific tools, best practices, and fit‑to‑standard workshops.
• Prior consulting background or experience managing large-scale cloud transformation programs.
• Understanding of integration tools such as SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, and CPI.
• Experience working in multi-country or global SAP rollouts.
